The Historical Museum in the town of Popovo is an institution with rich collections of ethnographic, historical and archaeological artifacts. The existing permanent exhibition in the Museum was established in 1995 and stayed the same for more than 20 years.
In 2017 the Museum Director Plamen Sabev initiated a project for restoration of the building, including various repair works as well as renovation of the exhibition spaces on the first and second floors. As part of the project I developed a design for the Museum’s entrance hall including an exhibition on the history of the building, a map of the city with models of famous buildings, a small museum shop and an area showcasing the main donors of the Museum. My tasks included concept design, space organization, technical and furniture drawings, graphic design and organization of the implementation.

The project was implemented in 2019 and funded entirely by the Museum’s own incomes.
