The project has been developed during the course Interior Design Studio in Politecnico di Milano. It aims to propose a solution for the revitalization of an abandoned terrain in the city of Castiglione Olona. The terrain consists of a parking area, industrial shed and old chimney. Owner of the terrain is the company Mazzucchelli 1849 – factory producing high quality plastic materials and composites with various applications including fashion and design.
The developed solution is a modern complex composed of the following buildings: 1.) Showroom /new structure/, 2.) Museum /the existing chimney + additional building/, 3.) Multifunctional auditorium /the existing shed/ and 4.) Restaurant /new structure/.
