The exhibition “Pathways to the Table” tells the story of food and the various ways in which it has reached the table of the Bulgarian people over the centuries. Various topics such as hunting, fishing, gathering, agriculture, animal husbandry, beekeeping, rose production and others are presented in eight exhibition halls using authentic exhibits (household items and tools) and rich textual, photographic and illustrative materials. The exhibition also offers a series of interactive elements and in each hall that introduce the visitor to unknown facts hidden behind “doors”. In the last hall visitors can see a video with 3D processed archival photos and a diorama with models of Bulgarian markets over the centuries.
